iPhone passes one million mark

Apple just announced that their iPhone, which most either hate or love, just passed the one million mark. Meh, I just got an iPod Video, so sadly I don't have the cash to buy one... Heck I was searching every car and every cushion just to find some quarters to buy some new comics the other day...

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crsytal Skull

Well, that's the new name of the anticipated film. Semi-star Shia LaBoeuf announced it over at the MTV Awards yesterday...

South Park wins Emmy for the best episode ever times a billion!

Well, scratch the last part, but the World of Warcraft episode, which, mind you, is quite possibly the best South Park episode of all time, just won an Emmy for the most outstanding animated program.

In other news, Britney Spears once again shows the world that she's a complete moron by appearing at the MTV awards - While seemingly drugged...

Eco Creatures: Save the Forest

Meh, apparently some new "unique" real time strategy game has just been announced for the Nintendo DS that includes popular real world themes such as deforestation, pollution, global warming and industrialization. Once more information is released... I probably won't post....

X-Men... Disassembled?

I'm sure every Marvel fan remembers the events that took place during Avengers Disassembled, where not only the Vision, Hawkeye, and Ant-Man II all died, but where the Avengers broke apart. Well, Marvel just revealed the above image to the world, with the exact same "disassembled" logo that the previously stated comic had.

Is this the end of the X-Men? Probably not, but isn't it just awesome to say?

Hooked! for Wii delayed

So I decided that I wanted to come back... That's a good thing, yes? So, what else is there to do other than to get right back in to reporting news?

Anyway, Hooked! for Wii has been delayed, and will be released on October 23, rather than the 9th... Oh, the agony...

Explanation

So, as Wiiporter just mentioned, I haven't been here in a while... But there is an explanation, and I'd say a pretty good one at that! Here it goes -

Before I even started the blog I was an active member over at a place called Nintendopedia.org, which is essintially a Wikipedia with just Nintendo related stuff. Well, over time the place got bombed by spam attacks, and mainly ads, and because I wasn't an admin, there was nothing I could do. Well, just a bit ago I was promoted to sysop status, and went over to the site to get rid of all the spamers and bring the site back up, thus not giving me much time to wright on my blog.... Pink Gorrila is my brother's user name and that why I've accidentally been going under that (because when ever I go onto the blog I'm always logged in already, so I assumed that I was logged in under Bentendo...)...

I hope that I'll be able to get back to doing my blog.... and I probably will. But for now I have other things to do...

NBC no longer supporting Apple iTunes

NBC was apparently one of the biggest supporters and most important companies who was on iTunes - They had tons of hit shows (most notably, to me atleast, The Office) on the service, and not only will they not provide new shows on the service, but they'll also remove any shows as well that were already on it... This really sucks for me, becasue I just got an iPod Video, and was really looking forward to buying The Office (even though I already have the DVD's).

Where I've been...

Alright, yesterday I didn't post anything on my blog for a reason - I was down in the basement on my large screen TV with all the lights off playing Metroid Prime 3... A review will come up soon, though I've obvoiusly got to beat it first. It should also be noted that I was also updating a bit over at Nintendopedia.org, since they've promoted me...

I'll do my best to do some updates today, though it's really hard to stay away from Metroid at this time...

Manhunt 2, uncut version mind you, to be released in the Netherlands

Since the country's Ministry is powerless to ban the original Manhunt 2 game, which has been banned everywhere else, Taketwo have decided to release it there... Which as of now it the only country that will get the unrated version.

Master Chief surprise!

This is a must watch video of Master Chief (or, obviously a guy in a costume) in a Korean mall who stands still (concreate still), and waits until someone gets up close to scare the H&#@ out of them!

Quake Wars gone gold

Activision just announced that their upcoming online game Quake Wars has gone gold, meaning that the game's development is finished and that its ready to go. It'll be available in Europe and Australia on September 28 of this year, and in America on October 2. Apparently this is only the PC version, so if you're more of a console fan, then you'll have to wait a while more for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.

Apple iCar?

Reports from some German magazine are saying that Apple and the Volkswagen company have been talking to each other tossing ideas around. Nothing is set in stone yet, and even if it is this still doesn't mean that Apple is making their own car, so calm down!

Grand Theft Auto: Gotham City...

Well, not exactly, but pretty close. According to the Rumor Mill portion of EGM, a "popular studio" is working on a Batman video game that is in the same style of Grand Theft Auto. What exactly does this mean? Surely it just implies that it'll be a sandbox game rather than a run and gun and have sex with hookers story, becuase if you don't remember - Batman doesn't kill... and I'm sure he doesn't have sex with hookers...

Also, no console was mentioned, so bummer...

Worms: A Space Oddity announced for Wii

When I was younger, Worms used to be one of my favorite series. I may not have been very good at it, though I used to just play for countless hours. Well, it's good to hear that the classic series will be released on the Wii under the name of Worms: A Space Oddity. According to THQ, the game will include a "fresh visual style, new environmental settings, intuitive contorls and even more customization options." Beyond that there will also be Wiimote based actions, though what exactly you'll be doing with your arms is unknown.

Apparently the whole game will be redone, and will include a re-invented single player mode, party mode, and as aforementioned tons of customization options.

The game will also include a sci-fi feel to it, as its name implies.

Mass Effect dated...

Mass Effect's just been dated for November 20 of this year, which is great news seeing that the game's supposed to be simply amazing. And would you look at that - I updated right at 12:00 as I said I would!

More news during lunch...

I got up late today and thus was only to post thrree news stories, so I'll do my best to do some more at lunch...

UPDATE: Oh, wait, it was four! My mistake!

Microsoft/Mitsubishi two sided touch screen game console???

Alright, now I have no idea what this is all about. Later on today I'll do a little more research, and maybe I'll be able to confirm or deny the realness of this console. In the meantime, you can read the quote which I found over at Neogaf...

"Touch is a compelling input modality for interactive devices; however, touch input on the small screen of a mobile device is problematic because a user’s fingers occlude the graphical elements he wishes to work with. LucidTouch is a mobile device that addresses this limitation by allowing the user to control the application by touching the back of the device. The key to making this usable is what we call pseudo-transparency: by overlaying an image of the user’s hands onto the screen, we create the illusion of the mobile device itself being semitransparent. This pseudo-transparency allows users to accurately acquire targets while not occluding the screen with their fingers and hand. LucidTouch also supports multi-touch input, allowing users to operate the device simultaneously with all 10 fingers. We present initial study results that indicate that many users found touching on the back to be preferable to touching on the front, due to reduced occlusion, higher precision, and the ability to make multi-finger input."

TGS 2007: The big three plus a couple third parites to host pre-TGS press conferences

It's just been reported that Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony, SEGA and Capcom are going to host pre-Tokyo Game Show conferences to possibly show off new games, already existing games, or maybe even some new hardware (don't bet on it!). The list can be seen below -

Note that it's not in English, and I'm a lazy @$$ who doesn't feel like translating it...

- 31.08.07: Capcom CS Game Private Show
- 04.09.07: Monatliches Sony CE Treffen, auf dem das November-Lineup gezeigt wird.
- 05.09.07: Nintendo Private Show mit dem Lineup für Oktober bis Dezember.
- Erste/Zweite September-Woche: Microsoft-Treffen
- 14.09.07: Sega Strategy Meeting

Nintendo sends VC e-mail updates

If you're a member of Nintendo's online service, then expect to get a new email which shows off all the new Virtual Console updates. This is a pretty good move on Nintendo's part, seeing that not everyone checks the multiple blogs and websites to see what new games are out, including the casual fans and younger/older folks...

Smash Bros. Brawl update - Gliding

Gliding is a new ability (well, sort of, in Melee Peach could in a way do it) that allows you to, well, you know... However, only a select few characters are able to perform this ability. Confirmed characters include Meta Knight, Pit, and the Pokémon Trainer's Charizard.

Once you start to glide, there's no turning back (and when I say that, I mean you can't turn around!). So be careful not to go too far over the edge... well, in fact, it'd probably be best not to go over the edge at all!

Super Mario Galaxy boxart

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that the prvious boxart that Nintendo was showcasing was a bunch of crap. Thankfully, they have a new one, which looks 50 times better!

Expect the Metroid Prime 3 review in about a week...

Yeah, I'm not a very fast player... nor am I very good... but expect it in a weak, hopefully!

This golf shot really makes no since...

This is some crazy stuff right here folks -

Another new N-Gage?

This seems to be another new N-Gage that was announced over at Nokia's press conference today, and thankfully this one doesn't seem to include a phone. Still, it looks really uncomfortable to play...

According to the company, EA is giving the most support, though earlier in the week Capcom confirmed that they're making games for it as well.

Nokia's new N-Gage

Nokia's original N-Gage was an utter failure though it keeps on managing to come back. This is the next generation of N-Gages, and once again they have to crap on it by adding yet again a phone to it. And is it just me or is that a freaking camera???

Nokia blatantly rips off iPhone

Can you seriously believe this? I know I can't! Just watching this just makes me angry... Nokia's Executive VP General Manager of Multimedia (quite a title) says -

"If there is something good in the world then we copy with pride."

Castlevania film gets a new writer

Apparently the upcoming high-budget film has gotten a whole new writer - Ian Jeffers, who according to bloddy-disgusting.com has rewritten the entire thing. Once more information on this topic is released, I'll report it...

Nintendo Characters - Ganon

Ganon is known as the antagonist of the Zelda series, or atleast the main one. He's the most common boss in any Zelda game, and is currently the only enemy in the series who's managed to find a spot in the Super Smash Bros. roster. He's able to transform into many forms, such as a pig, a human, and another hulking, ugly looking pig... I don't see how the former would have a positive effect on anyone, though he is a tough baddy in that form!

He pretty much only performs acts of hate out of anger, and really doesn't like anyone. He lusts for power, and because of this he must be thwarted by the hero of time, a.k.a. Link!

He's a powerful sorcerer and a master swordsmen, and can only be defeated by the master sword. He's usually killed once Link plows his sword into his head or chest, though he, or atleast another incarnation, always seems to come back to cause terror in Hyrule.

When Ganondorf is reported as trying to take over the world, it's not something to take lightly, seeing that the only being that is able to stop him is the hero of time.

Camelot back to console gaming and golf games...

However, they seem to have abandoned Nintendo and their sole publisher as reported about a year or so ago, and have teamed up with Capcom. Still, the game will be a Wii exclusive, which is good for the Nintendo fan boys out there. The game is called Wii Love Golf, and as expected will use the Wii remote as the main way to control your clubs.

It seems like theres no word on whether or not this will be a golfing RPG, such as their brilliant Mario Golf games were, though by the looks of it, I'd say it's not. Apparently the game is 60% done, and more information on the title will be revealed over at Capcom's Tokyo Game Show booth...

LocoRoco PS3 news

Straight from this week's Famitsu -

*First off, it seems like you'll take control of a group of butterflies, rather than a yellow blob... The goal of the game is to make the butterflies shout out "boo boo", which will in turn make the sleeping LocoRoco wake up and follow you.

*The game will be released in Japan on September 21 on this year via the PlayStation Network. No word on an American release date or pricing.

Halo 3 goes gold!!!

Microsoft just sent out news that their highly anticipated video game Halo 3 has gone gold, meaning it's complete and ready to be shipped (though won't be until September 25!). Once more news on the game is released, I'll do my best to report it...

Luke's Lightsaber to be shipped into space...

In celebration of the Star Wars 30th anniversary, the lightsaber that Luke Skywalker used in the Star Wars movies will be shipped into space. Apparently a man dressed as Chewbacca will be keeping it safe in space, and not even that - but it'll be escorted by a hoard of stormtroopers and R2-D2... great...

Darth Vader Transformer

How cool is this? Oh, right, it's not... but none-the-less if you're a huge Transformer and/or Star Wars fan, then you've got to pick up this... It's freakin Darth Vader who Transforms into the Death Star!

Smash Bros. Brawl update - Pokémon Trainer special moves

Well, the special moves for the Pokemon Trainer's Pokemon have been announced, or atleast 6/9 of them have... Check them out below -

*Squirtle Up B - Waterfall: Will cause, as you probably guessed, a giant waterfall.
*Squirtl Side B - Withdraw: Will go into his shell and spin around the stage.
*Ivysaur Standard B - Bullet Seed: Will shoot seeds from his bulb at bullet speed.
*Ivysaur Up B - Vine Whip: Will cause a vine to shoot out of his bulb which can latch onto things above.
*Charizard Standard B - Flamethrower: Must I say what this is?
*Charizard Sid B - Rock Smash: Will cause Charizard to pick up a rock and toss it at his opponents.

New Iron Man: Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Annual information

I've got to leave soon, so I'll just direct you over to the site with all the information of the upcoming Annual issue. It includes plenty of new info via an interview they had with the creator of the issue.

Halo Wars - 10 minutes!

A great new, 10 minute video showcasing Halo Wars for the Xbox 360. A definite must watch!

Direct link here (incase it doesn't show up for you!)

Super Bike announced

While no where near as catchy a name as Excitebike, Super Bike seems to have a noticeable bumb in the graphics department. It'll be released on plenty of gaming consoles and handhelds, though Nintendo fans, well, they'll be stuck playing NitroBike (which looks more intense and fun in my opinion, maybe because it's being made by the peeps behind Excitebike 64!). The consoles/handhelds include Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PSP, and PC, and will be available in May 2008...

About twenty minutes until poll is down...

And once it is, I'll post the new one up, which will be your most anticipated assist characters for Brawl (only announced ones). For a memory refresher, the announced characters include -

*Samurai Goroh
*Dr. Wright
*Knuckle Joe
*Devil
*Andross
*Hammer Brother
*Nintendog

I'll be voting for Dr. Wright... gotta love the classic character!

longest Wifi siginal recorded!

Some island called Sardinia just obtained the longest Wifi siginal in history - a whopping 189 miles! Seriously, that's a lot! My wifi siginal won'y even reach 100 feet!

EA/Hasbro monopoly... eh, yippie?

About a year ago Nintendo and Hasbro teamed up to release Nintendo Monopoly, which I'm not ashamed to admit I bought... Now EA and Hasbro are teaming up to bring you all EA Monopoly where you can rake up 400 bucks for a presumably crappy title! Yay!

More talk on PlayStation phone

It's been a so-so rumor going on now for many months, so nothing was obviously set in stone and it was something that you'd have to take with a grain of salt. Well, more news regarding it has been revealed... or at least it's been revealed that news on it will be revealed!

Some higher up Sony dude gave some beef on when you can expect news on the phone. Here's what he said -

"It's obviously something that we're looking at but right now I can't really comment. Before Christmas, certainly... but exactly which Christmas I can't confirm!"

Warhawk now available!

Warhawk, the highly anticipated PS3 game is now available through the Playstation Network and, for those who want to pay 20 buckaroos (which I seriously just found out was an actual word...) more, an actual PS3 game with the case and all that stuff.

Penny Arcade Adventures to be released in 2008

Hothead Games just announced that Penny Arcade Adventures, the very first Penny Arcade game ever, will be released early next year. It'll also be available through MAC, Windows, and Linux computers, along with Xbox 360's Xbox Live.

Blue Dragon ships...

Blue Dragon, while apparently not the greatest RPG for the 360 as everyone had hoped, is still a decent game with classic RPG mechanics. Well, Microsoft just announced that it's been shipped today (shouldn't have been shipped yesterday?), so if you've been looking forward to the super long game, then check it out!

Super Smash Bros. Brawl update - Andross (assist character) and special moves

Andross, while not a new playable character, is rather a new assist character who looks simply awesome. While most people don't know him by this design (rather they view him as an over sized monkey head with hands), this is the original, and my personal favorite! He appeared in the ever-so-hard SNES game Star Fox, where he played the role as the main antagonist. In Brawl, his head will appear, and will then drift into the background, where he'll then start to spew out unknown (really, there's no name for them, so let's just call them panels) projectiles at you! As you probably guessed, these things really hurt!

Today was also a double update day! The second update sadly wasn't great, seeing that we all could've guessed that you'd be able to do special moves in the same fashion as Melee's special moves, though at least it's been confirmed, eh? Well, we do get the names of all of Meta Knight's special attacks, which are -

*Standard-b: Mach Tornado (as expected, will cause a tornado!)
*Side-b: Triple Dash (seems to be a powerful sword attack)
*Up-b: Shuttle Loop (will launch our mysterious "friend" in the air, while thrusting his sword upwards)
*Down-b: Dimensional Cape (He'll guard himself with his strong cape)

Nintendo Characters - Captain Falcon

Captain Falcon seems, to me at least, like the Nintendo character that seriously looks like a super hero. Mario, Link, Samus, all of them don't really look like superheroes. Captain Falcon just looks like a super hero, though the fact is he's nothing more than a bounty hunter who really knows how to race... yeah, he's for reals.

He's non-debatably the most popular F-Zero racer of all time, and has on multiple occasions took the gold medal. His suit seems pretty snazzy, and was apparently crafted from both body armor and a flight suit, which can visually be seen just be looking at him. Though not very noticeable, he apparently always has a gun with him which is by his side in case of an emergency, which are common place in Mute City.

His role as one of the best bounty hunters of all time have earned him his fair share of enemies. So many that he had to move to a secluded island where he used his hard earend cash to make his very own F-Zero tracks to practice on!

Nintendo characters - Diddy Kong

Diddy was recently announced for Brawl, so what better time to write a profile on him than now... at 11:40 PM...

Anyway, Diddy Kong is the short friendly monkey who happens to be Donkey Kong's buddy. While DK's sole piece of clothing is his famous neck tie, Diddy has a hat with the Nintendo logo on it and a t-shirt with a couple yellow stars. He's the Yoshi, Tails, or Dexter of the Donkey Kong universe, being the great Kong's sidekick...

In the beginning, Diddy admired and cheerished Donkey Kong and loved every moment he had with him. He wished to someday become a big and strong kong, though from the looks of it this aspiration of his isn't going too hot, seeing that he's still the scrawny and angular monkey that he's always been. Though these attributes don't seem to be entirely negative, seeing that he's much more agile than his stronger, more admirable and dandy Kong bud.

On multiple occasions Diddy even had to save Donkey Kong, with the help of another "friends", or shall I say girlfriend! Like, ZOMG, the hottest couple in the jungle!... Dixie Kong is the female monkey that you've probably seen in many DK games, and her specialty is twisting her hair around, thus allowing her to glide in the air longer than her male counterpart...

Well, anyway, Diddy Kong started to become quite popular, and on more than one special occasion did he even star in his own game, including Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, Donkey Kong Land 2, Diddy Kong racing, and the DS remake of the later game. He's even crossed the border to appear in multiple Mario titles including Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Mario Superstar Baseball and many others (mostly, if not all sports related titles).

Maybe a Metroid themed update for Brawl tomorrow?

Well, we were all hoping that there would be a Metroid themed update for Brawl today in celebration of Corruption's release date, though in reality it just shipped today rather than actually being released. Everyone, or atleast most know that games, DVD's, etc are all released on Tusedays, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption's included in that bunch. So maybe, just maybe (and once again, maybe...) we'll get an update in celebration of the game's real release date, which is the 28th (tomorrow).

What, if anything, could it be? Well, obviously the best update would be Ridley being a playable character... Or any Metroid character being announced as a playable, maybe an assist. Let's get our hopes up, kay!

Gran Turismo 5 Prolouge to be free

Apparently Sony has been debating on what the price tag of the aforementioned game should be, though they've decided to amke it a free title via PSN. This is great news for GT fans and PS3 owners, and certainly one of the greatest free things to get on PlayStation Network.

College student sets hugging record - 765 in one hour

It seems like there's a record for everything in Guinness, even one with how many hugs someone performed in less than an hour. Well, apparently an 18 year old just broke the record by hugging 765 different people in less than an hour. Her parents must be so proud!

According to her, it took months of planning... I personally think it'd be hilarious if it didn't end up being in the book...

Oh, and just so you know, you'd have to be Satan to not think that image to the right is just adorable!

Link!

Marvel Zombies custom made sculptures

These aren't going to be buyable at your local comic or hobby store, but are rather custom made Marvel Zombie sculptures made out of official toys from such series as Spawn (Thor), WWE (Namor), Cynder (Ms. Marvel/Warbird), Bizarro (Moon Knight), and others. Pretty cool, aren't they?

Stone and Parker agree to three more South Park seasons

Quite possibly the funniest, and maybe even the best show on TV is currently South Park, the most offensive and hilarious thing to ever be aired. Well, it seems like series creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker have just agreed to do atleast three more seasons of the outragious series, which will go all the way to the year 2011.

It was also revealed that the duo and Comedy Central have opened up a new studio which they called South Park Digital Studios, which will be based in LA and will be the new home of South Park, among new, yet to be announced projects.

Metroid Dread nearly completed says Corruption

Metroid Dread has been rumored for years now to be another sidescrolling Metroid game that would be released on the Nintendo DS. It was said to be revealed at E3 many years ago, though was ultimately not shown. Years went with it barely being mentioned anywhere, just about one story a year, though it was generally thought to have not even existed. Well, the debate rages on with the new Wii game Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. According to a scan (shown above), the game, or rather as the scan puts it the "project" is nearing completion. Sadly this is no where near a confirmation, though it's odd that this would appear in an official title that is so large. Could it really be a hint, or nothing more than a reference to the once popular topic?

Joust movie announced... omg

There are just so many different games that's story could be implemented into a wonderful movie - Metroid, Metroid, Halo, Metroid, Bioshock, and of course Metroid. It's just a wonder that a game such as Joust, a 80's arcade title that had seriously no story, is now turning into a movie...

Apparently it'll be set 25 years into the future where (shocks) we have cities that are already floating in the air, one of them including Las Vegas. I don't understand why they'd put it up in the air, seeing how expensive and unneeded it'd be, but apparently it'll happen in 25 years! Great....

Capcom? More like Crapcom! Company now supporting N-Gage

In 2008, you'll be able to buy Capcom games for the god D*@!$# handheld that was, I thought, dead long ago. This is just pathetic! I mean seriously, how much cash did Nokia rake up to make Capcom, a respected video game company, make games for them?

Dragon Quest IX delayed

SquareEnix just announced today that their biggest surprise to the gaming industry - Dragon Quest IX for the Nintendo DS, the first handheld game that is in the main series, has been delayed for 2008 rather than the previously announced 2007 release date. There's no known reason of why the game was delayed for us folks, though it can be conclusive that it's just to make the game better... or maybe it's just a load of Chocobo (hey, I thought we were talking about Dragon Quest here buddy) crap that they had to transform into wonderful, eh, non-crap!

Oh crikey, I don't know if I can wait a whole nother, eh, few months... oh, wait, yeah I can, I'll have Brawl, Galaxy, Corruption, Halo, and others to keep my occupied!

World War Hulk follow up story confirmed

Over at some Canada comic show going on right now, Marvel confirmed that there would be a follow up story to World War Hulk titled "Warbound". The writer will be Greg Pak while Leonard Kirk (who has, in a way, worked on the series with the book "What If - Planet Hulk") will head the artistic design of it all. It apparently will focus on the survivors of World War Hulk, which will probably include, you know, everyone important (it's a sad fact that they probably won't get rid of any majors... thought then again I don't think I'd be able to take it after the death of Captain America).

The main characters include Hulk, Arch-E-5912, Brood, Elloe Kaifi, Hiroim, Korg and Miek, who fans of Planet Hulk (the story prior to World War Hulk) should all know. I personally like them all, though Miek kind of got out of hand near the end of PH when he evolved, or atleast transformed into the king of his species.

Kirk explained that he had no clue whether or not Hulk would be one of the survivors. But then again, even if he did, why the $%#@ would he answer that question?

Once more information on the followup is announced, I'll do my best to cover it.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl update - Superspicy Curry

It's pretty amazing to me how Nintendo characters can be so ignorant to the point where they'll eat food that's been engulfed in flames. I'm not surprised that a pathetic monkey like Diddy Kong would do so, though it's blatant that it's quite the contrary when it comes to the female protagonist Samus Aran and our hero of time Link. Mario, despite being my favorite character, is obviously a man with a not-so-high IQ... so I don't really know if I'd be surprised or not if he actually picked up the spoon, saying "mmmmm, this a looks a good... WHAAAAAAAA! Hot, hot, hot!!!!!"

Well, anyway, this item is new to the series, and it's quite welcomed in the Smash community. I personally don't care too much for items, and haven't used them in years with Melee, though the recent projectiles and assist characters are actually making me want to go back to them! When you come into possession of this item, you're body will be consumed in flames. It's not very admirable to see your favorite character doing this to him or herself, though it's funny none the less.

Once this happens, you'll be able to shoot flames from your mouth, and presumably harm others just by touching them, or atleast give your opponent more damage when you attack them. One image showed Diddy kicking Yoshi, thus bringing flames across the poor dinosaur, probably implying that you can give much more damage once you do this.

The director also confirmed that you'll be able to do combos that you are otherwise not able to do, which in my book is pretty sweat.

Sadly, this isn't a Metroid update as I had hoped (seeing how Corruption is being shipped out today here in the US), but is rather a Kirby item. Thankfully, this is a pretty sweat item, though not nearly as cool as the cracker launcher, pitfall or Franklin's Badge... but close!

It should also be noted that it was hinted at the Fire Flower returning, hence the director said "[the Superspicy Curry] is different from the flames of the Fire Flower". I never cared too much for the item though, so it doesn't really effect me!

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption IGN review

I'm not the kind of blogger who usually shows off other reviews from IGN, Gamespot, etc... unless it's blatantly bad when it was supposed to be good, or if it's just a great review that should make everyone happy. This is one of them. IGN gave Corruption a 9.5/10, stating that the gameplay is "Spectacular. Controls better than any console first-person game before it, features great pacing and a fun mix of puzzles and shooting. In contrast, there's a tedious fetch quest and some door loads." They also, as expected, released a video review, which I highly recommend, so much so that I'll add it to my site!

Tomorrow morning expect some great Nintendo updates

First off, and probably most importantly - We'll be able to see the critic's reviews on Metroid Prime 3 (including IGN's). Second - A new Super Smash Bros. Brawl update as always! Let's hope that it's something good, say, like Ridley confirmed for Brawl in celebration of Corruption's US release date?

Also, once again I'm sorry for not updating so much today, though I guess it's better than nothing (I usually don't do anything on Sundays). Tomorrow I'll probably be free to do plenty of updates... including my search for plenty Corruption reviews!

I would stay up for both updates, though I'm exhausted and need some sleep (it's 12:10 here, I'll probably just read awhile in bead until I drift into sleep). Tomorrow morning I'll try to get up as early as possible to do the updates...

Three The Legend of Zelda (NES, SNES) commercials

It really shows that Nintendo had some of the worst commercial supervisors/creators/helpers around back then. The second one's the oddest... I just don't see how that could sell anything what-so-ever!

New games this week

Seriously, if you have a Wii and you haven't saved up $50 to get Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, then something really wrong over there... or you have a life and have to pay for, you know, essential things like food. Nintendo Characters - Petey Piranha

Petey Piranha is a boss character in the Mario series who first appeared in Super Mario Sunshine. Despite the fact that not many fans appreciate the bulbous plant, he's appeared in tons of games, where he not only plays as the boss character, but as a playable character as well in games like Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and Mario Superstar Baseball, among others.

In chronological order, the first game he appears in would be Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, where he appeared far in the past where he ate the future Peach (who traveled through time) whole. Obviously Mario and Luigi (along with their younger counterparts) saved the damsel in distress.

In Super Mario Sunshine, he appeared on top of the windmill in the first level, and would be Mario's first major boss fight (excluding the mini-boss fight with the piranha plant at the beginning of the game).

In New Super Mario Bros. he appeared in the ice world where Mario once again thwarted his plans to destroy him.

Peach got her revenge in her own outing with Super Princess Peach, where she had to (as in Super Mario Sunshine), fill his body with water and would then have to jump on his belly button.

Stupid kid stomps and kills 10 foot snake

Note this snake that this moron kid killed wasn't in the wild, but was rather a man's "pet" who he showed off at schools, festivals and libraries. He said that a boy explained that he didn't like snakes and then raised his stupid little foot and smashed the snake's head, thus killing the poor thing. The owner then said a man, seemingly the kid's dad, came out and told him that "this is why I don't take you places" and left without apologizing or offering to pay the hefty amount that the snake probably cost him....

Seemingly the biggest piranha you'll ever see

Well, there's nothing else to really say about this colossal piranha other than "daaaang"....

FIFA Street 3 announced for PS3 and 360

Most of the Street titles are pretty decent - the NBA Street series was obviously the highlight and NFL was pretty fun too. However, the FIFA series is the one that stands out as the lowlight, and oddly EA is coming back to make a threequel for the PS3 and Xbox 360 (sorry Wii fans, no FIFA for you..., or atleast no FIFA Street for you). No real information was given via the small mention of it in a press release, though it has been confirmed to be in development by EA Canada.

NES necklaces

Check out those cool new NES styled necklaces (for the ladies)...

Microsoft officially not going to E for All

well, it was all speculation until now - Microsoft, along with Sony, will not appear at E for All. Nintendo is set in stone about going (they are), and so is EA, Konami, THQ, Namco Bandai, etc...

Hitman movie release date announced...

IGN just got the beef on the official new release date of the game to movie adaption of Hitman. It was originally going to be released on October 12 of this year, though has been pushed back about a month and will be released on November 21.

Alien vs. Predator 2 trailer

The first trailer for AvP 2 has been released, and my opinion - it looks like a stylized version of a crappy SciFi chanel film that has a much better production value though pretty much the same writers and story makers. If you want to check it out then click on the link below -

The final (Stan Lee created) Fantastic Four comic

While this isn't the last Fantastic Four comic, this is the final one written by the series' creator Stan Lee, who hasn't made a FF comic in ages. For some more preview images, click the link below -

Three days until corruption

Just thought I'd remind you all that Metroid 3: Corruption is coming out in 3 days. I know that you all probably know this already, though just incase you didn't, I've got you covered!

Some new Nitrobike information

I don't know why, but the game is making me excited. It's made by the guys who made Excitebike 64, which I don't know about anyone else, but I personally enjoyed it. Well, the company has released some new information...

*To increase your "Nitro meter" you'll have to perform tricks.
*In all there are 42 challenges.
*A great 6 player online mode, and four player split-screen mode for those at home.
*Career mode includes 9 championships, race against Elimination, and more.

Rumor: 3-D-enabled PS3 coming next year?

Rumor has it that Mitsubishi and Sony are teaming up to create video games that are 3-D enabled. It is 100% certain that the two are talking with each other, and it's pretty clear that this is very possible. Apparently Mitsubishi is already creating a program that can change 2-D movies into 3-D easily, and (this is quoting the company) they say that BLu-Ray users will be able to use this by early 2008.

Friday, August 24, 2007

And that's a wrap for today.

I didn't post as much as I usually do, and for that I'm sorry. Maybe it was just a slow news day, or maybe I was out of it. I did spend a couple hours playing Castlevania, so that's probably why...

Wolverine: Orgins #16 sells out

While you may still be able to find it at a comic book store, Marvel has announced that every copy has left Diamond, the company's distributer. This appears to be the second one this week, after Marvel made the announcement that Halo: Uprising #1 ended up selling out in less than 24 hours.

Halo 3 news

Over at this years Games Convention, Bungie revealed some new information for their upcoming game Halo 3...

*The Heroic and Legendary difficulties are apparently harder than ever, and Bungie recommends the experienced players to play on these rather than normal... thank you, but I'll be playing on eaaasy.
*Cool new multiplayer customization option that allows you to make your own weapons with its own features.
*New mode called Forge allows you to edit a lot in the multiplayer stages.

First image of Alien vs. Predator 2

I personally thought that the first one that was released a few years ago sucked, and I'm sure this one will too, just becasue there is no possible way to make a decent Alien Vs. Predator movie... it's a stupid idea that seems to be made by a 12 year old fan of both series...

Bioshock creator says no PS3 version of game

While we all pretty much knew this, the Bioshock creator once again confirmed that there are no "secret plans" for a Bioshock on the PS3.

"I promise you, there is no secret plan about the PS3 that we're keeping from people. There's no PS3 development going on that we're hiding. There's lots of stuff that gets into game code, plans change over time and we got an exclusive deal with Microsoft ... that's not a Rosetta Stone discovery." - Bioshock creator Ken Levine

World War Hulk: X-Men #3 official preview

"The brutal conclusion! Hulk vs. the Juggernaut and whatever X-Men are left standing in a battle that will have lasting consequences for one of the combatants!

Don't miss all of the brutal action as the Hulk attempts to capture Charles Xavier. Can anyone actually stop him?

First anniversary of Pluto being a dwarf planet.

Aww, I'm sure every single person on this real planet remembers the infamous day when Pluto was officially classified as a dwarf planet...

Ang Lee's new film gets an NC-17

The infamous director who nearly killed my love for the Hulk just made a new movie that got an NC-17 rating. Obviously, this isn't good for the director or the film or the studio who's distributing it, but to tell the truth - I couldn't care less. If you must know, it got such a rating because of scenes with oral sex, full frontal nudity, yada yada yada...

Anchorwoman show dies after one stupid episode

Well, I guess I shouldn't judge a show that I've never seen, but the fact that after one episode FOX (this is Fox, mind you, the chanel with beyond crappy crap) kills off the show after obtaining some of the worst review scores any show could possibly get... well, if you somehow liked it, then you can watch the four unaired shows online some time...

Another bad Heavenly Sword score...

Edge just gave Heavenly Sword, which we all know as one of the most anticipated PS3 games, a 6/10... Yikes, this really isn't good! First PSM and now Edge...

The big three games - Lair, Heavenly Sword, and Warhawk don't seem to be doing too good...

The World's would be tallest building

The building design above has been in the making for countless years, and would apparently be taller than Mount Fuji. Another comparison - How about nine Empire State Buildings on top of each other?

If built, it could house 1 million people in over 800 floors! However, it's just a tiny bit pricey at around $300 or $900 billion dollars... Obviously don't expect to ever see this in your life time, though Japan is saying it might possibly be made...

Two new Virtual Console games up... for Australia

The Aussies get two pretty good new games today - Wrecking Crew and Neutopia. No matter what people say about the former game, I think it's pretty good....

Bentendo64: The greatest Mario game?

So it's a common debate on which Mario game surpasses all other Mario games in gameplay quality and pure fun. First off, it's obvious that no Mario Party, RPG, or even sports game would ever be named such a game, seeiing that none of them (well, possibly some RPG's) have the same Mario charm and pureness of the platformers. Super Mario Bros. is a classic, though the very fact is I'd rather play other Mario games than it, and thus can not be named the greatest Mario game of all time, same goes for Super Mario Bros. 2 and Donkey Kong...

Super Mario Sunshine, to some, is a great game. I'm one of those people who trully enjoy the game and can jump in whenever I want and play. I'm not ashamed to say that I actually enjoy Super Mario Sunshine more than Super Mario 64... You may think I'm crazy, but just hear me out - When Super Mario 64 was released, obviously it could be, and probably was considered the greatest game of all time... I know I thought it was. Though the simple fact is Super Mario Sunshine has way better physics and if I had a choice to either play 64 or Sunshine, I'd actually go with the later.

Super Mario Bros. 3 is surprisingly one game that stands up to even today's standards. It has great gameplay for not even an NES game, but for any game all together. It blows the other two in the series way out of the water, and the secrets are plentiful and great. It also includes some of the greatest suits that Mario ever put on - the Raccoon Suit, frog, hammer bro., and the list goes on! Still, Super Mario World is just so much better than number 3 in my opinion. I could play SMW all day long and not get bored - while I just can't say that with SMB3. The music, suits, physics, enemies, levels - everything is what a Mario game should be...

I would include Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, though the very fact is, even if it include's Mario's name in there, I just can't say it's a true Mario game seeing that Yoshi's the star. But still - it's one of my favorite platforms on any console, and on some days I even consider it to be better than any other Mario game listed...

New Super Mario Bros. was an instant classic, though still, not as good as Super Mario World in my opinion, so it's out of the list.

So it comes down to two games - The side-scroller Super Mario World and the 3-D game Super Mario Sunshine. I'm sure no one expected the later to be on my list, though it is. Sunshine included great physics, lovable new characters, and a great new mechanic where you could hover above the air with FLUDD. Super Mario World on the other hand introduced Yoshi and the cape, the former being one of the most popular characters in the video game universe to date. Though as aforementioned I'm not basing this on what the game gave us but on how fun it is. And you know what - Everything in Super Mario World is mighty fiine and perfectly executed. The challenges are great and the amount of secrets and levels are just outstanding. This probably comes to know surprise, but in my opinion, and probably thousands of other gamers, Super Mario World is the greatest Mario game of all time. Now, if you're woundering where the others go in, then I'll put up a list -

1. Super Mario World
2. Super Mario Sunshine
3. Super Mario Bros. 3
4. New Super Mario Bros.
5. Super Mario 64

Halo: Uprising #1 sold out in less one day

Marvel just announced that it's new comic Halo: Uprisng #1 has sold out in less than a day over at Diamond. I really didn't care to much for it, though I'm sure a lot of you did. All Brian Bendis, the writer, had to say about it was "yay!"....

PAX to start in one hour

Or, atleast one hour and nineteen minutes! So get ready for... eh, no news, but a lot of fun!

Manhunt 2 get's an M rating from the ESRB

The ESRB just brought down the rating of Manhunt 2 from an AO to an M, which means the game can be released now on the Wii, PS2, and PSP. It's also been confirmed that all three virsions will be released on October 31st in America...

Smash Bros. Brawl update - Petey Piranha boss

We saw Petey Piranha in that video that was recently released, though no one knew what role he would play. Well, it appears that he is a boss in the adventure mode, the first boss. He'll attack with the cages that you see in his hand.

American Gladiators coming back

Who here remembers the American Gladiators show from the past? Well, it's coming back to NBC, who's saying that it'll be bigger, faster, and better than before... well, I'm oddly looking forward to this show, becasue I used to watch it when it was on TV...

Halo live action short leaked online! Watch it before it's removed!

Alright, the film below is apparently a scene from the movie. And as always it someone brought in a camera and filmed it. Obviously this will be removed soon, so be sure to watch it!!!

Highschool Musical 3 news

Just for the record - I really don't like the movies... I'm not afraid to admit that I've seen both... and hated both...

Anyway, apparently the two main stars of the series will only do Highschool Musical 3 if they get more money than offered. It should be noted that the movie will hit theaters, while the other two were just made-for-TV.

I don't think they deserve an upgrade in cash for doing such a crappy job at acting...

New "Marvel Presents" images

I don't know if I've reported on this yet, though this is a new series that will start in September of this year. The concept of it is that it'll feature stories for characters who currently don't have their own comics. If that's the case, then why the heck do I see Captain America, Spider-Man, Daredevil, Hulk and the Thing in the picture below???

Oh crap - another bust for PS3: Heavenly Sword

So, Heavenly Sword was supposed to be the biggie for PS3 while you wait for you're MGS4, as was, in a way Warhawk (which, as reported earlier, got a 6.5 from PSM). Well, IGN just reviewed the game and gave it a 7/10. Now, that may not seem like a horrible grade, though they gave the gameplay a 6/10.

This is obviously bad news for Sony...

But, don't worry, Play gave it a 10... though then again Play is a S&#@*% magazine that gave Wario: MoD a 9 and Super Paper Mario a 7...

Rumor - Kingdom Hearts Wii to be shown at TGS

Note that this is just a rumor folks, but the-bell-tree.com is reporting that a Kingdom Hearts game will be revealed over at TGS. It'd be great to see a KH for Wii, and I'm really hoping that this rumor ends up being true, because I loved the first two, and sort-of-liked Chain of Memories.

New Youtube comment system

I'm sure that every person on planet Earth knows that Youtube has some of the worst people commenting on their website. Well, thankfully they have a new system (similar to Digg's) where you can give the comments thumbs up or thumbs down. If a comment get's a certain amount of thumbs down, then that comment won't be shown unless you want it to.

Way to go Youtube!

New picture of one of Saturn's moons

The picture above is a cool new photo taken of Mimas, one of Saturn's many moons. I just thought I'd share it with all of you...

New Xboxes to be released this Fall with less heat

News is going around saying that come this Fall, Microsoft plans to release the Xbox Falcon, which is essintially the Xbox 360 with only 65-nonmeter chips rather than 90, meaning not only cheaper to make units, but also less heat to be released out of them.

No word on the exact date they'll be shipping, sadly...

Another theme park rumor

This one coming in from Six Flags over Texas though. Apparently the company is planing on making a new indoor ride, though no word on what type it'd be. It should be noted that on the 21st of this month the bumper cars ride over at the park closed, and it's possible that that's where the new ride could be located. If that's the case, then don't expect anything fantastic such as a new roller coaster or fume ride, seeing that it'd be in a tight space.

Rumor - Ratatoullie roller coaster for Disney's Hollywood Studios

This one I'd say is true - Reports are suggesting that Walt Disney Studios has just approved the creation of a Ratatoullie roller coaster for Disney's Hollywood Studio (MGM). The coaster will apparently be a spinning coaster, and will be based off of the recently opened Crush Coaster in Disney Paris. Construction is expected to start in the next six months, and will be next to the currently in-production Toy Story Mania ride.

It should also be noted that it'll be an indoor ride, if the rumors are true that is.

The reason why Paramount switched over to HD-DVD

Well, this was pretty obvious, though now it's confirmed - The reason why Paramount studios have switched exclusively over to Micrsoft's HD-DVD, leaving Blu-Ray, is becasue they were given $150 million.

Video game companies being ignorant - Don't have any plans to attend E for All

A lot of video game companies apparently doesn't realize that E for All is the next E3... possibly even better! Well, according to firingsquad.com, Sony replied to a question saying that they have no plans to attend E for All... also, Microsoft is too undecided. Other companies who have decided NOT to go include SEGA, Midway, Capcom, and NCSoft.

However, have no fear - Plenty of great and notable companies are for sure going to attend, including Nintendo, Konami, EA, THQ, Namco and some others.

Table Tennis for Wii boxart

Crusin for Wii... looks like a GBA game

Just know that the image above is in fact a Wii video game... It's not a Virtual Console game and it's not a GBA game... Heck it's not even a cell phone game which it clearly looks like.

I just don't understand it....

Kid arrested... after, eh, throwing a sausage

I seriously don't see how this is a crime... I mean, it's pure stupidity, though last time I checked, it's not a crime (what am I saying? I've never checked!). Well, some 12 year old in the UK threw a sausage at some dood and the police charged him...

Yeah, great....

Nintendo characters - R.O.B.

It could be debatable whether or not R.O.B. is a character, though I'd say he is. Now, most probably know R.O.B. from his recent appearance in Mario Kart DS as the final unlockable character, though his history goes waaay back, before even The Legend of Zelda or Metroid were created.

He was an extra that came with every NES that you bought. He was created because Nintendo thought that they could sell more NES units if they add a toy in with it, but they were wrong (the very first test they had with it, a kid was quoted saying -
"This is S*#%!"). However, despite being ultimately a failure, his legacy goes on as he appears in countless video games as a cameo.

His recognizable and charming face is known by most gamers, possibly because they've been playing games for ages, or possibly because he seems to make some sort of appearance in every other Nintendo game that comes out.

Whether it be WarioWare, Mario Kart, Star Fox, Tetris - R.O.B. seems to appear everywhere. Here's the full list, so you know just what I'm talking about - StarTropics, Game Boy Camera, Kirby's Dreamland 3, Star Fox 64, F-Zero GX and AX, most WarioWare games, Pikmin 2, Animal Crossing, Tetris DS, Viewtiful Joe, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, Mario Kart DS, and the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

More juicy Justice League movie rumors

The latest rumor has come in that says that the upcoming Justice League film will, rather than be live action, will be a motion capture film, such as the upcoming Beowulf movie is.

However, just take this with a grain of salt, seeing that no one has confirmed this yet.

Brawl page nearly finished!

A couple days ago I introduced, err, the few readers to a new post - the Super Smash Bros. Brawl post. I claimed that I would try my best to add all the information that we know so far in the post, and just by looking at it, I'm sure you can tell that I'm nearly finished. If I've forgotten something of mild importance, then please tell!

Oh, and here's the page -

Super Smash Bros. Brawl: Everything we know!

More Nintendo Power news

A while back Codenamerevolution gave the beef on the Wii news, but, as always, didn't do so for the DS news seeing that they're a console site. Well, here it is -

*Mario Party story (really sucks) - Apparently Bowser invites all of the gang (Mario, Peach, Toad, Yoshi, Wario, Waluigi, Luigi, Daisy) over to his mansion to have a party. The gang, being the gullable group they are, don't expect that Bowser is up to anything and head on over - Well, Bowser ends up shrinking them, and then they, errm, really do start to party... yeah, great!
*A four page preview of Looney Tunes: Duck Amuck included. As expected, it doesn't look really good. In the game you apparently must terroize Daffy... It also included a short, half a page preview of the Looney Tunes Wii game, including some new images.
*Smash Profile - Yoshi
*Some new images of Sonic Rush Adventure released. It's looking pretty good. Shows off a new, touched base boss battle, which is in 3-D.

Overall, this was mostly a Wii issue, so not much was revealed when it comes to DS games...

Register Brain Age 2 and get a rainbow colored Stylus set

A few years ago I remember Nintendo would give you an exclusive, pink colored stylus if you registered Kirby Canvas Curse. I got it, and while "babysitting" someone's kids, they chewed it all up, changed the launguage (from English to Japanese) and color (the girl changed it to pink... if she liked the color so much she should have respected my pink property) of my DS, and, oh yeah -scratched up my DS' screen. If you could guess, I never let them touch the blasted thing again, and when they asked where it was, I replied "I don't know, why don't you swim in the pool?"...

Well, Nintendo's now got a new deal that is seven times better than the previous deal - Nintendo will now give you seven, rainbow colored stylus' if you register Brain Age 2 over at Nintendo's official site...

Minor video game news

*Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja, Hoshigami Remix, Heroes of Mana, and Counter Force all announced for Europe.
*FOG has been announced as Nibris' publisher.
*Runaway 2 announced for the Wii.
*Crytek developing something for Wii, but say not to expect anything anytime soon.
*Tony Hawk's Proving Ground will be released on October 9 and will include a playable demo of Guitar Hero III.

300 page iPhone bills no more

I didn't report on the 300 page iPhone bills since I was out of town when it started to become a big thing, though I'll tell you what this is all about in case you hadn't already heard -

Apparently people with iPhones have been getting up to 300 page bills telling them every little thing that they've done - every single website they visited - everything! Well, as you could obviously guess, this p!$$3d off a lot of people, and AT&T (the one's sending them), have just announced that they'll stop shipping them, unless you would oddly want them!

Comic reviews - Amazing Spider-Man #543, Halo: Uprising #1, StarLord #2, Countdown 36, Superman #666

Amazing Spider-Man #543
I thought that the conclusion of the Back in Black 5 part arc would be something fantastic. The cover was revealed a while back, and as you can obviously see it got people speculating all over the message boards on what it could mean... well, as it turns out, it's nothing really special, and no where near fantastic. If you've been collecting the five part series so far, then you should obviously get it to finish it, though if not then you should certainly pass then one.

I'm just going right out and saying it, so note that if you are wierd about spoilers, then don't read - Aunt May doesn't die! SHOCKS! A dissapointing issue that looks at how Peter is a criminal, and he goes as far as knocking out a cop... bleh, this one may have been dissapointing - though the next arc - One More Day, certainly WON'T be!

6/10

Halo: Uprising #1
Wow, is this issue really Halo? I read it, and it just didn't feel like a Halo story line to me! Meh, none-the-less the writing and story is okay and the art, while not as good as some of the previuos Halo comics, is still nice. The book was written by Brain Bendis, who is currently being noted as Marvel's main man right now. He's heading both Avengers story, and not to mention Ultimate Spider-Man. He didn't seem to put many, well, you know - words in this issue, which Marvel tends to do a lot. Still, you should check it out if you're 1. A fan of the series and 2. If you're wanting to get a comic that will someday, probably be a collector's item.

7/10

StarLord #2
Here we go! Last month this was my favorite book, and this month seems to be the same. As mentioned in my review of StarLord #1, it's a shame that this will only be four issues long. The artwork is currently some of my favorite, and the characters are all just so lovable.

Two main characters die in this issue, one certainly, though another might, and probably will come back since you didn't really see him/her/it (not spoiling) die, and while you saw the other one getting blown up.

It's a shame that comics like the two others above will sell out, while this one certainly won't sell nearly all of them, maybe not even half of what the stores get. So please - if you're trying to find a new comic, do yourself a favor and check this (and the previous one) issue out, you (probably) won't be dissapointed.

10/10 (I just had to!)

Countdown 37
This issue wasn't horrible like most are, as it actually went somewhere with the storylines. As always, I couldn't care less about the Karate Kid storyline, though the others are pretty good. I really don't care about the art, often times the character models look pretty, ehh, ugly.

Even though some of the story lines can be interesting, I just really don't care about the characters they chose to focus on. The only one that non-fans may even partically recognize is Atom Man, though maybe not even him.

6/10

Superman #666
Just as they did with Batman's 666 issue, Superman is also getting a Hell themed one for his 666, and it's not a dissapointment. For those who remember, I really didn't care for Batman #666, and gave it a 6/10. I thought that the same thing would end up happening with this issue, though I was wrong - it's pretty good.

Most of the issue focuses on Superman's dream, and in it he goes mad and starts to kill. I'm not going to spoil it for you and reveal what happens next - you'll just have to read it yourself. But it's pretty interesting. The art was pretty good, oddly my favorite design was the demon near the very end of the comic.
