First look at Yoshi in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games

We already knew that the green dino would appear in the game, though until now we had no footage or images of him in anyway, but now we have both a short movie and an image. Check 'em both out!

Sonic Riders sequel confirmed

earlier in the month we heard word that there would be a sequel to Sonic Riders on the Wii and PS2. Well, in the recent issue of Play Magazine, they confirm this, and also give some details about the game.

Apparently in the first game (which was released on PSP), there was a character named Jet the Hawk, and he will be returning. Two courses were confirmed - Botanical Kingdom and Crimson Crater (Since I don't have the issue yet, I can't confirm if there were images of anything listed here). In the original, there was a mode called Trick System, and that will be returning, while another mode, Turbulence, will not.

E3 2007: Miyamoto talks sword fighting game and Mario & Sonic at the Oylmpic Games

While talking with IGN, Shigeru Miyamoto, the website asked the man behind Mario whether or not Nintendo is thinking about making a sword fighting game with one-to-one controls. Miyamoto had this to say -

"We haven't announced anything, so I can't speak about any particulars, but we do have a lot of ideas about how we could potentially use the Wii remote for something like that."

He then went on to say that Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games will include such a feature though with a fencing game. After that, he said "I don't know if I'm supposed to say that, so if I'm not, I'm very sorry, SEGA!", while laughing.

Sonic and Golden Axe now on Xbox Live

Yeah, that's right, two SEGA classics are now on Xbox Live. While mostly everyone knows how amazing Sonic the Hedgehog was, not as many people have experienced Golden Axe, which in turn is pretty fun. However, if I'm correct, both titles are also on the Wii's Virtual Console.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games images!

So this game had been announced for awhile now, though as of yet we haven't gotten any images of the game rather than a little piece of artwork. Well, now Sega has revealed seven images of the game, four based off of the Wii version and three on the DS.

First off, the images revealed some new characters that weren't previously announced. We already know about Mario, Luigi, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Yoshi (who saddly wasn't shown in any of the pictures), though three newbs have just been shown. Princess Peach, Bowser, and Dr. Eggman.

Both versions are looking pretty fun, and if Sega is able to come up with a decent game then I might pick up one of the versions, probably for Wii.
