LocoRoco PS3 news

Straight from this week's Famitsu -

*First off, it seems like you'll take control of a group of butterflies, rather than a yellow blob... The goal of the game is to make the butterflies shout out "boo boo", which will in turn make the sleeping LocoRoco wake up and follow you.

*The game will be released in Japan on September 21 on this year via the PlayStation Network. No word on an American release date or pricing.

Super Bike announced

While no where near as catchy a name as Excitebike, Super Bike seems to have a noticeable bumb in the graphics department. It'll be released on plenty of gaming consoles and handhelds, though Nintendo fans, well, they'll be stuck playing NitroBike (which looks more intense and fun in my opinion, maybe because it's being made by the peeps behind Excitebike 64!). The consoles/handhelds include Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PSP, and PC, and will be available in May 2008...

Warhawk now available!

Warhawk, the highly anticipated PS3 game is now available through the Playstation Network and, for those who want to pay 20 buckaroos (which I seriously just found out was an actual word...) more, an actual PS3 game with the case and all that stuff.

Gran Turismo 5 Prolouge to be free

Apparently Sony has been debating on what the price tag of the aforementioned game should be, though they've decided to amke it a free title via PSN. This is great news for GT fans and PS3 owners, and certainly one of the greatest free things to get on PlayStation Network.

FIFA Street 3 announced for PS3 and 360

Most of the Street titles are pretty decent - the NBA Street series was obviously the highlight and NFL was pretty fun too. However, the FIFA series is the one that stands out as the lowlight, and oddly EA is coming back to make a threequel for the PS3 and Xbox 360 (sorry Wii fans, no FIFA for you..., or atleast no FIFA Street for you). No real information was given via the small mention of it in a press release, though it has been confirmed to be in development by EA Canada.

Rumor: 3-D-enabled PS3 coming next year?

Rumor has it that Mitsubishi and Sony are teaming up to create video games that are 3-D enabled. It is 100% certain that the two are talking with each other, and it's pretty clear that this is very possible. Apparently Mitsubishi is already creating a program that can change 2-D movies into 3-D easily, and (this is quoting the company) they say that BLu-Ray users will be able to use this by early 2008.

Bioshock creator says no PS3 version of game

While we all pretty much knew this, the Bioshock creator once again confirmed that there are no "secret plans" for a Bioshock on the PS3.

"I promise you, there is no secret plan about the PS3 that we're keeping from people. There's no PS3 development going on that we're hiding. There's lots of stuff that gets into game code, plans change over time and we got an exclusive deal with Microsoft ... that's not a Rosetta Stone discovery." - Bioshock creator Ken Levine

Another bad Heavenly Sword score...

Edge just gave Heavenly Sword, which we all know as one of the most anticipated PS3 games, a 6/10... Yikes, this really isn't good! First PSM and now Edge...

The big three games - Lair, Heavenly Sword, and Warhawk don't seem to be doing too good...

Oh crap - another bust for PS3: Heavenly Sword

So, Heavenly Sword was supposed to be the biggie for PS3 while you wait for you're MGS4, as was, in a way Warhawk (which, as reported earlier, got a 6.5 from PSM). Well, IGN just reviewed the game and gave it a 7/10. Now, that may not seem like a horrible grade, though they gave the gameplay a 6/10.

This is obviously bad news for Sony...

But, don't worry, Play gave it a 10... though then again Play is a S&#@*% magazine that gave Wario: MoD a 9 and Super Paper Mario a 7...

Yikes! Warhawk gets a 6.5/10 from PSM

Sony pretty much claimed that it'd be the best game to use their Siaxis controller... but I guess they were wrong! PSM, which, mind you, is an exclusive PlayStation only magazine, gave the highly anticipated game a grade of 6.5/10... It's kind of sad, because I was looking forward to it...

Vikings: Battle for Asgard announced!

Console sales numbers in! Wii only .2 million behind 360!

Well, we all knew it was going to happen... The Wii next month will almost certainly be ahead of the 360, though not by far (BioShock...). The poor PS3 isn't doing so good as you can see, though it'll probably pick up once MGS4 comes out.
