NBC no longer supporting Apple iTunes

NBC was apparently one of the biggest supporters and most important companies who was on iTunes - They had tons of hit shows (most notably, to me atleast, The Office) on the service, and not only will they not provide new shows on the service, but they'll also remove any shows as well that were already on it... This really sucks for me, becasue I just got an iPod Video, and was really looking forward to buying The Office (even though I already have the DVD's).

Where I've been...

Alright, yesterday I didn't post anything on my blog for a reason - I was down in the basement on my large screen TV with all the lights off playing Metroid Prime 3... A review will come up soon, though I've obvoiusly got to beat it first. It should also be noted that I was also updating a bit over at Nintendopedia.org, since they've promoted me...

I'll do my best to do some updates today, though it's really hard to stay away from Metroid at this time...

Manhunt 2, uncut version mind you, to be released in the Netherlands

Since the country's Ministry is powerless to ban the original Manhunt 2 game, which has been banned everywhere else, Taketwo have decided to release it there... Which as of now it the only country that will get the unrated version.

Master Chief surprise!

This is a must watch video of Master Chief (or, obviously a guy in a costume) in a Korean mall who stands still (concreate still), and waits until someone gets up close to scare the H&#@ out of them!

Quake Wars gone gold

Activision just announced that their upcoming online game Quake Wars has gone gold, meaning that the game's development is finished and that its ready to go. It'll be available in Europe and Australia on September 28 of this year, and in America on October 2. Apparently this is only the PC version, so if you're more of a console fan, then you'll have to wait a while more for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.

Apple iCar?

Reports from some German magazine are saying that Apple and the Volkswagen company have been talking to each other tossing ideas around. Nothing is set in stone yet, and even if it is this still doesn't mean that Apple is making their own car, so calm down!

Grand Theft Auto: Gotham City...

Well, not exactly, but pretty close. According to the Rumor Mill portion of EGM, a "popular studio" is working on a Batman video game that is in the same style of Grand Theft Auto. What exactly does this mean? Surely it just implies that it'll be a sandbox game rather than a run and gun and have sex with hookers story, becuase if you don't remember - Batman doesn't kill... and I'm sure he doesn't have sex with hookers...

Also, no console was mentioned, so bummer...

Worms: A Space Oddity announced for Wii

When I was younger, Worms used to be one of my favorite series. I may not have been very good at it, though I used to just play for countless hours. Well, it's good to hear that the classic series will be released on the Wii under the name of Worms: A Space Oddity. According to THQ, the game will include a "fresh visual style, new environmental settings, intuitive contorls and even more customization options." Beyond that there will also be Wiimote based actions, though what exactly you'll be doing with your arms is unknown.

Apparently the whole game will be redone, and will include a re-invented single player mode, party mode, and as aforementioned tons of customization options.

The game will also include a sci-fi feel to it, as its name implies.

Mass Effect dated...

Mass Effect's just been dated for November 20 of this year, which is great news seeing that the game's supposed to be simply amazing. And would you look at that - I updated right at 12:00 as I said I would!

More news during lunch...

I got up late today and thus was only to post thrree news stories, so I'll do my best to do some more at lunch...

UPDATE: Oh, wait, it was four! My mistake!

Microsoft/Mitsubishi two sided touch screen game console???

Alright, now I have no idea what this is all about. Later on today I'll do a little more research, and maybe I'll be able to confirm or deny the realness of this console. In the meantime, you can read the quote which I found over at Neogaf...

"Touch is a compelling input modality for interactive devices; however, touch input on the small screen of a mobile device is problematic because a user’s fingers occlude the graphical elements he wishes to work with. LucidTouch is a mobile device that addresses this limitation by allowing the user to control the application by touching the back of the device. The key to making this usable is what we call pseudo-transparency: by overlaying an image of the user’s hands onto the screen, we create the illusion of the mobile device itself being semitransparent. This pseudo-transparency allows users to accurately acquire targets while not occluding the screen with their fingers and hand. LucidTouch also supports multi-touch input, allowing users to operate the device simultaneously with all 10 fingers. We present initial study results that indicate that many users found touching on the back to be preferable to touching on the front, due to reduced occlusion, higher precision, and the ability to make multi-finger input."

TGS 2007: The big three plus a couple third parites to host pre-TGS press conferences

It's just been reported that Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony, SEGA and Capcom are going to host pre-Tokyo Game Show conferences to possibly show off new games, already existing games, or maybe even some new hardware (don't bet on it!). The list can be seen below -

Note that it's not in English, and I'm a lazy @$$ who doesn't feel like translating it...

- 31.08.07: Capcom CS Game Private Show
- 04.09.07: Monatliches Sony CE Treffen, auf dem das November-Lineup gezeigt wird.
- 05.09.07: Nintendo Private Show mit dem Lineup für Oktober bis Dezember.
- Erste/Zweite September-Woche: Microsoft-Treffen
- 14.09.07: Sega Strategy Meeting

Nintendo sends VC e-mail updates

If you're a member of Nintendo's online service, then expect to get a new email which shows off all the new Virtual Console updates. This is a pretty good move on Nintendo's part, seeing that not everyone checks the multiple blogs and websites to see what new games are out, including the casual fans and younger/older folks...

Smash Bros. Brawl update - Gliding

Gliding is a new ability (well, sort of, in Melee Peach could in a way do it) that allows you to, well, you know... However, only a select few characters are able to perform this ability. Confirmed characters include Meta Knight, Pit, and the Pokémon Trainer's Charizard.

Once you start to glide, there's no turning back (and when I say that, I mean you can't turn around!). So be careful not to go too far over the edge... well, in fact, it'd probably be best not to go over the edge at all!

Super Mario Galaxy boxart

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that the prvious boxart that Nintendo was showcasing was a bunch of crap. Thankfully, they have a new one, which looks 50 times better!

Expect the Metroid Prime 3 review in about a week...

Yeah, I'm not a very fast player... nor am I very good... but expect it in a weak, hopefully!

This golf shot really makes no since...

This is some crazy stuff right here folks -

Another new N-Gage?

This seems to be another new N-Gage that was announced over at Nokia's press conference today, and thankfully this one doesn't seem to include a phone. Still, it looks really uncomfortable to play...

According to the company, EA is giving the most support, though earlier in the week Capcom confirmed that they're making games for it as well.

Nokia's new N-Gage

Nokia's original N-Gage was an utter failure though it keeps on managing to come back. This is the next generation of N-Gages, and once again they have to crap on it by adding yet again a phone to it. And is it just me or is that a freaking camera???

Nokia blatantly rips off iPhone

Can you seriously believe this? I know I can't! Just watching this just makes me angry... Nokia's Executive VP General Manager of Multimedia (quite a title) says -

"If there is something good in the world then we copy with pride."

Castlevania film gets a new writer

Apparently the upcoming high-budget film has gotten a whole new writer - Ian Jeffers, who according to bloddy-disgusting.com has rewritten the entire thing. Once more information on this topic is released, I'll report it...

Nintendo Characters - Ganon

Ganon is known as the antagonist of the Zelda series, or atleast the main one. He's the most common boss in any Zelda game, and is currently the only enemy in the series who's managed to find a spot in the Super Smash Bros. roster. He's able to transform into many forms, such as a pig, a human, and another hulking, ugly looking pig... I don't see how the former would have a positive effect on anyone, though he is a tough baddy in that form!

He pretty much only performs acts of hate out of anger, and really doesn't like anyone. He lusts for power, and because of this he must be thwarted by the hero of time, a.k.a. Link!

He's a powerful sorcerer and a master swordsmen, and can only be defeated by the master sword. He's usually killed once Link plows his sword into his head or chest, though he, or atleast another incarnation, always seems to come back to cause terror in Hyrule.

When Ganondorf is reported as trying to take over the world, it's not something to take lightly, seeing that the only being that is able to stop him is the hero of time.

Camelot back to console gaming and golf games...

However, they seem to have abandoned Nintendo and their sole publisher as reported about a year or so ago, and have teamed up with Capcom. Still, the game will be a Wii exclusive, which is good for the Nintendo fan boys out there. The game is called Wii Love Golf, and as expected will use the Wii remote as the main way to control your clubs.

It seems like theres no word on whether or not this will be a golfing RPG, such as their brilliant Mario Golf games were, though by the looks of it, I'd say it's not. Apparently the game is 60% done, and more information on the title will be revealed over at Capcom's Tokyo Game Show booth...

LocoRoco PS3 news

Straight from this week's Famitsu -

*First off, it seems like you'll take control of a group of butterflies, rather than a yellow blob... The goal of the game is to make the butterflies shout out "boo boo", which will in turn make the sleeping LocoRoco wake up and follow you.

*The game will be released in Japan on September 21 on this year via the PlayStation Network. No word on an American release date or pricing.

Halo 3 goes gold!!!

Microsoft just sent out news that their highly anticipated video game Halo 3 has gone gold, meaning it's complete and ready to be shipped (though won't be until September 25!). Once more news on the game is released, I'll do my best to report it...

Luke's Lightsaber to be shipped into space...

In celebration of the Star Wars 30th anniversary, the lightsaber that Luke Skywalker used in the Star Wars movies will be shipped into space. Apparently a man dressed as Chewbacca will be keeping it safe in space, and not even that - but it'll be escorted by a hoard of stormtroopers and R2-D2... great...

Darth Vader Transformer

How cool is this? Oh, right, it's not... but none-the-less if you're a huge Transformer and/or Star Wars fan, then you've got to pick up this... It's freakin Darth Vader who Transforms into the Death Star!

Smash Bros. Brawl update - Pokémon Trainer special moves

Well, the special moves for the Pokemon Trainer's Pokemon have been announced, or atleast 6/9 of them have... Check them out below -

*Squirtle Up B - Waterfall: Will cause, as you probably guessed, a giant waterfall.
*Squirtl Side B - Withdraw: Will go into his shell and spin around the stage.
*Ivysaur Standard B - Bullet Seed: Will shoot seeds from his bulb at bullet speed.
*Ivysaur Up B - Vine Whip: Will cause a vine to shoot out of his bulb which can latch onto things above.
*Charizard Standard B - Flamethrower: Must I say what this is?
*Charizard Sid B - Rock Smash: Will cause Charizard to pick up a rock and toss it at his opponents.

New Iron Man: Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Annual information

I've got to leave soon, so I'll just direct you over to the site with all the information of the upcoming Annual issue. It includes plenty of new info via an interview they had with the creator of the issue.

Halo Wars - 10 minutes!

A great new, 10 minute video showcasing Halo Wars for the Xbox 360. A definite must watch!

Direct link here (incase it doesn't show up for you!)

Super Bike announced

While no where near as catchy a name as Excitebike, Super Bike seems to have a noticeable bumb in the graphics department. It'll be released on plenty of gaming consoles and handhelds, though Nintendo fans, well, they'll be stuck playing NitroBike (which looks more intense and fun in my opinion, maybe because it's being made by the peeps behind Excitebike 64!). The consoles/handhelds include Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PSP, and PC, and will be available in May 2008...

About twenty minutes until poll is down...

And once it is, I'll post the new one up, which will be your most anticipated assist characters for Brawl (only announced ones). For a memory refresher, the announced characters include -

*Samurai Goroh
*Dr. Wright
*Knuckle Joe
*Devil
*Andross
*Hammer Brother
*Nintendog

I'll be voting for Dr. Wright... gotta love the classic character!

longest Wifi siginal recorded!

Some island called Sardinia just obtained the longest Wifi siginal in history - a whopping 189 miles! Seriously, that's a lot! My wifi siginal won'y even reach 100 feet!

EA/Hasbro monopoly... eh, yippie?

About a year ago Nintendo and Hasbro teamed up to release Nintendo Monopoly, which I'm not ashamed to admit I bought... Now EA and Hasbro are teaming up to bring you all EA Monopoly where you can rake up 400 bucks for a presumably crappy title! Yay!

More talk on PlayStation phone

It's been a so-so rumor going on now for many months, so nothing was obviously set in stone and it was something that you'd have to take with a grain of salt. Well, more news regarding it has been revealed... or at least it's been revealed that news on it will be revealed!

Some higher up Sony dude gave some beef on when you can expect news on the phone. Here's what he said -

"It's obviously something that we're looking at but right now I can't really comment. Before Christmas, certainly... but exactly which Christmas I can't confirm!"

Warhawk now available!

Warhawk, the highly anticipated PS3 game is now available through the Playstation Network and, for those who want to pay 20 buckaroos (which I seriously just found out was an actual word...) more, an actual PS3 game with the case and all that stuff.

Penny Arcade Adventures to be released in 2008

Hothead Games just announced that Penny Arcade Adventures, the very first Penny Arcade game ever, will be released early next year. It'll also be available through MAC, Windows, and Linux computers, along with Xbox 360's Xbox Live.

Blue Dragon ships...

Blue Dragon, while apparently not the greatest RPG for the 360 as everyone had hoped, is still a decent game with classic RPG mechanics. Well, Microsoft just announced that it's been shipped today (shouldn't have been shipped yesterday?), so if you've been looking forward to the super long game, then check it out!

Super Smash Bros. Brawl update - Andross (assist character) and special moves

Andross, while not a new playable character, is rather a new assist character who looks simply awesome. While most people don't know him by this design (rather they view him as an over sized monkey head with hands), this is the original, and my personal favorite! He appeared in the ever-so-hard SNES game Star Fox, where he played the role as the main antagonist. In Brawl, his head will appear, and will then drift into the background, where he'll then start to spew out unknown (really, there's no name for them, so let's just call them panels) projectiles at you! As you probably guessed, these things really hurt!

Today was also a double update day! The second update sadly wasn't great, seeing that we all could've guessed that you'd be able to do special moves in the same fashion as Melee's special moves, though at least it's been confirmed, eh? Well, we do get the names of all of Meta Knight's special attacks, which are -

*Standard-b: Mach Tornado (as expected, will cause a tornado!)
*Side-b: Triple Dash (seems to be a powerful sword attack)
*Up-b: Shuttle Loop (will launch our mysterious "friend" in the air, while thrusting his sword upwards)
*Down-b: Dimensional Cape (He'll guard himself with his strong cape)

Nintendo Characters - Captain Falcon

Captain Falcon seems, to me at least, like the Nintendo character that seriously looks like a super hero. Mario, Link, Samus, all of them don't really look like superheroes. Captain Falcon just looks like a super hero, though the fact is he's nothing more than a bounty hunter who really knows how to race... yeah, he's for reals.

He's non-debatably the most popular F-Zero racer of all time, and has on multiple occasions took the gold medal. His suit seems pretty snazzy, and was apparently crafted from both body armor and a flight suit, which can visually be seen just be looking at him. Though not very noticeable, he apparently always has a gun with him which is by his side in case of an emergency, which are common place in Mute City.

His role as one of the best bounty hunters of all time have earned him his fair share of enemies. So many that he had to move to a secluded island where he used his hard earend cash to make his very own F-Zero tracks to practice on!

Nintendo characters - Diddy Kong

Diddy was recently announced for Brawl, so what better time to write a profile on him than now... at 11:40 PM...

Anyway, Diddy Kong is the short friendly monkey who happens to be Donkey Kong's buddy. While DK's sole piece of clothing is his famous neck tie, Diddy has a hat with the Nintendo logo on it and a t-shirt with a couple yellow stars. He's the Yoshi, Tails, or Dexter of the Donkey Kong universe, being the great Kong's sidekick...

In the beginning, Diddy admired and cheerished Donkey Kong and loved every moment he had with him. He wished to someday become a big and strong kong, though from the looks of it this aspiration of his isn't going too hot, seeing that he's still the scrawny and angular monkey that he's always been. Though these attributes don't seem to be entirely negative, seeing that he's much more agile than his stronger, more admirable and dandy Kong bud.

On multiple occasions Diddy even had to save Donkey Kong, with the help of another "friends", or shall I say girlfriend! Like, ZOMG, the hottest couple in the jungle!... Dixie Kong is the female monkey that you've probably seen in many DK games, and her specialty is twisting her hair around, thus allowing her to glide in the air longer than her male counterpart...

Well, anyway, Diddy Kong started to become quite popular, and on more than one special occasion did he even star in his own game, including Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, Donkey Kong Land 2, Diddy Kong racing, and the DS remake of the later game. He's even crossed the border to appear in multiple Mario titles including Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Mario Superstar Baseball and many others (mostly, if not all sports related titles).

Maybe a Metroid themed update for Brawl tomorrow?

Well, we were all hoping that there would be a Metroid themed update for Brawl today in celebration of Corruption's release date, though in reality it just shipped today rather than actually being released. Everyone, or atleast most know that games, DVD's, etc are all released on Tusedays, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption's included in that bunch. So maybe, just maybe (and once again, maybe...) we'll get an update in celebration of the game's real release date, which is the 28th (tomorrow).

What, if anything, could it be? Well, obviously the best update would be Ridley being a playable character... Or any Metroid character being announced as a playable, maybe an assist. Let's get our hopes up, kay!

Gran Turismo 5 Prolouge to be free

Apparently Sony has been debating on what the price tag of the aforementioned game should be, though they've decided to amke it a free title via PSN. This is great news for GT fans and PS3 owners, and certainly one of the greatest free things to get on PlayStation Network.

College student sets hugging record - 765 in one hour

It seems like there's a record for everything in Guinness, even one with how many hugs someone performed in less than an hour. Well, apparently an 18 year old just broke the record by hugging 765 different people in less than an hour. Her parents must be so proud!

According to her, it took months of planning... I personally think it'd be hilarious if it didn't end up being in the book...

Oh, and just so you know, you'd have to be Satan to not think that image to the right is just adorable!

Marvel Zombies custom made sculptures

These aren't going to be buyable at your local comic or hobby store, but are rather custom made Marvel Zombie sculptures made out of official toys from such series as Spawn (Thor), WWE (Namor), Cynder (Ms. Marvel/Warbird), Bizarro (Moon Knight), and others. Pretty cool, aren't they?

Stone and Parker agree to three more South Park seasons

Quite possibly the funniest, and maybe even the best show on TV is currently South Park, the most offensive and hilarious thing to ever be aired. Well, it seems like series creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker have just agreed to do atleast three more seasons of the outragious series, which will go all the way to the year 2011.

It was also revealed that the duo and Comedy Central have opened up a new studio which they called South Park Digital Studios, which will be based in LA and will be the new home of South Park, among new, yet to be announced projects.

Metroid Dread nearly completed says Corruption

Metroid Dread has been rumored for years now to be another sidescrolling Metroid game that would be released on the Nintendo DS. It was said to be revealed at E3 many years ago, though was ultimately not shown. Years went with it barely being mentioned anywhere, just about one story a year, though it was generally thought to have not even existed. Well, the debate rages on with the new Wii game Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. According to a scan (shown above), the game, or rather as the scan puts it the "project" is nearing completion. Sadly this is no where near a confirmation, though it's odd that this would appear in an official title that is so large. Could it really be a hint, or nothing more than a reference to the once popular topic?

Joust movie announced... omg

There are just so many different games that's story could be implemented into a wonderful movie - Metroid, Metroid, Halo, Metroid, Bioshock, and of course Metroid. It's just a wonder that a game such as Joust, a 80's arcade title that had seriously no story, is now turning into a movie...

Apparently it'll be set 25 years into the future where (shocks) we have cities that are already floating in the air, one of them including Las Vegas. I don't understand why they'd put it up in the air, seeing how expensive and unneeded it'd be, but apparently it'll happen in 25 years! Great....

Capcom? More like Crapcom! Company now supporting N-Gage

In 2008, you'll be able to buy Capcom games for the god D*@!$# handheld that was, I thought, dead long ago. This is just pathetic! I mean seriously, how much cash did Nokia rake up to make Capcom, a respected video game company, make games for them?

Dragon Quest IX delayed

SquareEnix just announced today that their biggest surprise to the gaming industry - Dragon Quest IX for the Nintendo DS, the first handheld game that is in the main series, has been delayed for 2008 rather than the previously announced 2007 release date. There's no known reason of why the game was delayed for us folks, though it can be conclusive that it's just to make the game better... or maybe it's just a load of Chocobo (hey, I thought we were talking about Dragon Quest here buddy) crap that they had to transform into wonderful, eh, non-crap!

Oh crikey, I don't know if I can wait a whole nother, eh, few months... oh, wait, yeah I can, I'll have Brawl, Galaxy, Corruption, Halo, and others to keep my occupied!

World War Hulk follow up story confirmed

Over at some Canada comic show going on right now, Marvel confirmed that there would be a follow up story to World War Hulk titled "Warbound". The writer will be Greg Pak while Leonard Kirk (who has, in a way, worked on the series with the book "What If - Planet Hulk") will head the artistic design of it all. It apparently will focus on the survivors of World War Hulk, which will probably include, you know, everyone important (it's a sad fact that they probably won't get rid of any majors... thought then again I don't think I'd be able to take it after the death of Captain America).

The main characters include Hulk, Arch-E-5912, Brood, Elloe Kaifi, Hiroim, Korg and Miek, who fans of Planet Hulk (the story prior to World War Hulk) should all know. I personally like them all, though Miek kind of got out of hand near the end of PH when he evolved, or atleast transformed into the king of his species.

Kirk explained that he had no clue whether or not Hulk would be one of the survivors. But then again, even if he did, why the $%#@ would he answer that question?

Once more information on the followup is announced, I'll do my best to cover it.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl update - Superspicy Curry

It's pretty amazing to me how Nintendo characters can be so ignorant to the point where they'll eat food that's been engulfed in flames. I'm not surprised that a pathetic monkey like Diddy Kong would do so, though it's blatant that it's quite the contrary when it comes to the female protagonist Samus Aran and our hero of time Link. Mario, despite being my favorite character, is obviously a man with a not-so-high IQ... so I don't really know if I'd be surprised or not if he actually picked up the spoon, saying "mmmmm, this a looks a good... WHAAAAAAAA! Hot, hot, hot!!!!!"

Well, anyway, this item is new to the series, and it's quite welcomed in the Smash community. I personally don't care too much for items, and haven't used them in years with Melee, though the recent projectiles and assist characters are actually making me want to go back to them! When you come into possession of this item, you're body will be consumed in flames. It's not very admirable to see your favorite character doing this to him or herself, though it's funny none the less.

Once this happens, you'll be able to shoot flames from your mouth, and presumably harm others just by touching them, or atleast give your opponent more damage when you attack them. One image showed Diddy kicking Yoshi, thus bringing flames across the poor dinosaur, probably implying that you can give much more damage once you do this.

The director also confirmed that you'll be able to do combos that you are otherwise not able to do, which in my book is pretty sweat.

Sadly, this isn't a Metroid update as I had hoped (seeing how Corruption is being shipped out today here in the US), but is rather a Kirby item. Thankfully, this is a pretty sweat item, though not nearly as cool as the cracker launcher, pitfall or Franklin's Badge... but close!

It should also be noted that it was hinted at the Fire Flower returning, hence the director said "[the Superspicy Curry] is different from the flames of the Fire Flower". I never cared too much for the item though, so it doesn't really effect me!

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption IGN review

I'm not the kind of blogger who usually shows off other reviews from IGN, Gamespot, etc... unless it's blatantly bad when it was supposed to be good, or if it's just a great review that should make everyone happy. This is one of them. IGN gave Corruption a 9.5/10, stating that the gameplay is "Spectacular. Controls better than any console first-person game before it, features great pacing and a fun mix of puzzles and shooting. In contrast, there's a tedious fetch quest and some door loads." They also, as expected, released a video review, which I highly recommend, so much so that I'll add it to my site!

Tomorrow morning expect some great Nintendo updates

First off, and probably most importantly - We'll be able to see the critic's reviews on Metroid Prime 3 (including IGN's). Second - A new Super Smash Bros. Brawl update as always! Let's hope that it's something good, say, like Ridley confirmed for Brawl in celebration of Corruption's US release date?

Also, once again I'm sorry for not updating so much today, though I guess it's better than nothing (I usually don't do anything on Sundays). Tomorrow I'll probably be free to do plenty of updates... including my search for plenty Corruption reviews!

I would stay up for both updates, though I'm exhausted and need some sleep (it's 12:10 here, I'll probably just read awhile in bead until I drift into sleep). Tomorrow morning I'll try to get up as early as possible to do the updates...

Three The Legend of Zelda (NES, SNES) commercials

It really shows that Nintendo had some of the worst commercial supervisors/creators/helpers around back then. The second one's the oddest... I just don't see how that could sell anything what-so-ever!

New games this week

Seriously, if you have a Wii and you haven't saved up $50 to get Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, then something really wrong over there... or you have a life and have to pay for, you know, essential things like food. Nintendo Characters - Petey Piranha

Petey Piranha is a boss character in the Mario series who first appeared in Super Mario Sunshine. Despite the fact that not many fans appreciate the bulbous plant, he's appeared in tons of games, where he not only plays as the boss character, but as a playable character as well in games like Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and Mario Superstar Baseball, among others.

In chronological order, the first game he appears in would be Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, where he appeared far in the past where he ate the future Peach (who traveled through time) whole. Obviously Mario and Luigi (along with their younger counterparts) saved the damsel in distress.

In Super Mario Sunshine, he appeared on top of the windmill in the first level, and would be Mario's first major boss fight (excluding the mini-boss fight with the piranha plant at the beginning of the game).

In New Super Mario Bros. he appeared in the ice world where Mario once again thwarted his plans to destroy him.

Peach got her revenge in her own outing with Super Princess Peach, where she had to (as in Super Mario Sunshine), fill his body with water and would then have to jump on his belly button.

Stupid kid stomps and kills 10 foot snake

Note this snake that this moron kid killed wasn't in the wild, but was rather a man's "pet" who he showed off at schools, festivals and libraries. He said that a boy explained that he didn't like snakes and then raised his stupid little foot and smashed the snake's head, thus killing the poor thing. The owner then said a man, seemingly the kid's dad, came out and told him that "this is why I don't take you places" and left without apologizing or offering to pay the hefty amount that the snake probably cost him....

Seemingly the biggest piranha you'll ever see

Well, there's nothing else to really say about this colossal piranha other than "daaaang"....

FIFA Street 3 announced for PS3 and 360

Most of the Street titles are pretty decent - the NBA Street series was obviously the highlight and NFL was pretty fun too. However, the FIFA series is the one that stands out as the lowlight, and oddly EA is coming back to make a threequel for the PS3 and Xbox 360 (sorry Wii fans, no FIFA for you..., or atleast no FIFA Street for you). No real information was given via the small mention of it in a press release, though it has been confirmed to be in development by EA Canada.
