What I thought of the De Blob demo.

Alright, surprisingly, the De Blob demo worked on my computer, and I was able to play it in all of it's glory without having any bugs break my laptop. After playing for about 10 or so minutes, I can say that while the gameplay was fun and innovative, it just didn't last.

When I first started to play, I had fun collecting those red/blue/or yellow little men, thus turning me into that color (or in some occasions purple/green/ or brown when you mix them up). Once you've got the color you want, then you're free to ram into buildings, cars, and even trees to turn the white colored world into a colorful area. However, if you accidentally (or, err, purposely) run into a police man (or, blob), you'll turn black, and when you ram into buildings, they'll turn black and you won't get any precious points (the only way to turn back into a white blob is to jump in some water). I enjoyed quickly raming into buildings, which gave me plenty of points.

Often times you'll find markers on larger buildings that, once hit, will turn the whole building and some surroundings ones into the color of the marker (though you also had to be that color as well).

Sometimes though, the character just really couldn't jump well, and that made me quite aggravated. Also, while the gameplay is innovative, the graphics are uninspiring and also get boring within 10 seconds of playing!

The major downpoint of the game was the jumping. He barely jumped high enough, and when I tried to jump over things that were obvoiusly jumpable, it would take a few (sometimes even 10) tries to do so.

While the game may have been enjoyable, you do have to take into consideration that you'll probably have to pay 30 or 40 (or even, god forbid, 50) bucks for this title, which from what I've played is no where near worth it. $10? Sure, $20 tops though, no higher.

And also, this is just a PC demo. Who knows, maybe the Wii version will be better!
