Anticipated game of the day: LittleBigPlanet

LittleBigPlanet is an upcoming game for the PS3 that very well could be the most unique and fun looking game coming out on that console, or any console for the matter of fact. The conecpt might seem quite odd, though once you watch one of the many videos now released, you'll see why I'm looking forward to this soon to be classic. If you're skeptical of whether or not Sony can create orginal content, then don't be - this (and other games such as LocoRoco) is a perfect example of how Sony has some nearly perfect ideas up their sleaves.

The gameplay is hard to explain, though I'll do my best to do so. The player must control four tiny creatures, each one with their own design. You'll have to work cooperatively if you wish to succeed. Each of these characters will have to overcome the multiple obstacles that will be thrown their way by jumping over them, grabing onto objects, and use the objects around them cleverly to proggress through the game.

Not only does the single player mode look exciting, though the developers insist that the multiplayer mode and the user created content will be major highlights as well. The latter is supposed to be extremley uniqe when it comes to creating your own challenges, and the former will also take advantage of the cooperative aspect of the game.

Sadly, you won't be able to buy the game until mid-2008, but once you're able to get your hands on it, I'm sure you won't want to let go!
