Anticipated game of the day: Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

Ever since the original Metroid Prime video game debuted, the series has been going strong and has given Nintendo a larger fanbase. The third and final game in the trilogy is just about to be released next month, and critics have deemed it as a more epic game that possibly exceeds the previous installments when it comes to gameplay and graphics.

The subtitle - Corruption, indicates what happens to Samus and other hunters once Dark Samus defeats them - once Samus' dark antagonist does so, she also corrupts them in the proccess. However, being corrupted isn't entirely bad, as once she is corrupted, she becomes stronger, though if you're corrupted for too long, she'll be killed.

The main selling point in Corruption is obviously the fact that you are able to aim using the Wii remote, compared to using the joystiq in previous games. This not only makes it easier for the player, but it also allows them to aim and shoot while walking/running, while in Metroid Prime 1/2 you had to stay put if you weren't locked onto an enemy.

Another feature included is stackable beams, which was first seen in Super Metroid, but was later taken out, as well as new visors, most notably the command visor which will allow the heroine to move her own ship.
